Welcome to the home of the 3rd St Albans Scout Group

On Sunday July 18th 2010, Leaders, Scouts, guest, friends and even our Dutch sister group via webcam attended a farewell ceremony for Pam and Clive Edmond.

Melvyn Teare our Chairman said “ big thank you for the tremendous work they have done with the 3rd St Albans for over 23 years. They have been involved with the district scout shop, annual St Albans Fireworks display, Nights Away Advisor and many other events. The group is more inclusive because of them and even becoming the first group in St Albans to welcome girls. They have created and strengthened International links through camping and other events. They have also been involved in the Centenary World Jamboree and created a remarkable world tour over the last ten years. I know that Scouting will continue to be close in your hearts and in your life. A big thank you from all of us at the 3rd St Albans and friends”

Pam and Clive were then presented with various gifts including a new axe for Clive who in true Scouting style cut the cake with.
