ABOUT THE BEAVER PACK
The Beaver pack is made up of 20 boys aged between 6 and 8 years. Joining usually happens the term after their 6th birthday and they move up to Cubs the term after they become 8 (depending on waiting list numbers!)
WHO ARE THE PACK LEADERS?
There are 4 joint leaders who run the pack. We are Helen Knowles, Michelle Ovenden, Jamie Mitchell & Bill Harris (see us here). We usually have a parent helper each week and this is done on a rota basis with every parent usually helping us once a term. We also have 2 Young Explorers who help us. The Beavers love the games they organise!
WHEN & WHERE DO THE BEAVERS MEET?
The Beavers meet on Wednesdays from 6pm – 7pm at the Scout hut in Waverley Road (see here) in term time only.
The Beaver uniform is a blue sweatshirt that can be purchased from the Scout shop which is next to the Beaver meeting hut. (The shop is open on Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 9pm and on Saturdays from 8.30m until 10.00am). New Beavers are given their beaver scarf and woggle when they get invested. We suggest to new starters that they try Beavers for 3 weeks before they decide whether they want to continue. At that point they need to purchase their sweatshirt and wear it to every meeting.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We do all sorts of things ranging from games, craft activities, having visitors from the outside community such as the Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade and Tourist Office to completing badge work, swimming, tracking and camping!
Have a look at the programmes for the last 3 terms to get more of an idea of the types of things we do on our Calendar page HERE.
We do most activities as one group but sometimes we break into our 4 lodges which are called Cree, Sioux, Ottowa and Mokhawk!

ABOUT THE BEAVER PACK
Fensome Beavers was set up in January 2010 and is currently made up of 12 boys aged between 6 and 8 years. We will be increasing this number to 18 in June 2010. Joining usually happens the term after their 6th birthday and they move up to Cubs the term after they become 8.
WHO ARE THE PACK LEADERS?
There are 2 leaders who run the pack, Disa Young & Chris Robb and 3 Assistant leaders, Alex Donoghue, Ian Bolam and John Cobb. We all attend weekly and share the jobs out equally. When we need an extra pair of hands we have a great support network in our parents who are happy to pitch in and help. We also encourage our parents to come along and share their jobs/interests with the boys.
WHEN & WHERE DO THE BEAVERS MEET?
The Beavers meet on Saturday mornings from 9.30 - 10.30am at the Scout hut in Waverley Road in term time only.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We do a range of activities each week normally based around a theme. So far this year we have enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt and Egg rolling, held a Sports Day to raise money for Sports relief, played Tag Rugby with one of our Parents coaching, and had visits from a snake owner, a farmer with his sheepdogs and ducks and a Police Armed response unit.
We are keen for the boys to enjoy activities they wouldn't get chance to do in other areas of their life and get them outside whenever we can. We have a great programme lined up for Summer including World Cup based activities, a trip to a Nature Reserve and a Summer BBQ. This term we are working towards our Fitness badge, Outdoor Challenge badge, Explore Activity Badge, and Friendship Badge.
